Case 580D backhoe in decent overall shape. Unit starts, runs, shifts and generally operates as it should. This little four-cylinder diesel fires right up and runs smooth. 4 speed transmission with left-hand reverser, all gears work as they should. Brakes: Left side brake is strong, right side is gone. Hydraulics: All hydraulics work well. Please note that the title cylinder on the loader bucket on the right side will need a new seal kit. No other leaks noted during inspection. Also please note that I was not able to hook the backhoe up to the locking pin after I did my video - I couldn't get the boom to raise up high enough to bring it close enough to drop the hook on it. It operates fine - it won't come up that high - not sure how they had it hooked before. This isn't the cleanest backhoe - it has been stored outside, birds have made a mess out of it. It needs powerwashed but otherwise a straight, strong-running, very functional backhoe. Loading assistance must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Sales tax at the rate of 5.27% will be added to the purchase price of this item unless the buyer claims this as an ag exempt purchase and provides the auction company with a completed and signed Colorado ag exemption affidavit which will remove all sales tax.
